Once CIBC Mellon receives your resume, we review it in comparison to our current career opportunities. When new positions arise we may review and consider your application again.

If there is a suitable match, one of our recruitment specialists will contact you to discuss the position, your skills, and the possibility of a meeting. Once a hiring decision has been made we will advise all candidates who attended a personal interview of the final outcome.

If you are not identified as the best available match for our current career openings we will:

    • keep your application active for 6 months
    • keep your inactive web applications for five years however inactive applications are reviewed on a less frequent basis
    • keep your interview records active for one year from the date you met with our recruitment specialist
    • destroy your inactive interview record after 3 years except where otherwise required by applicable regulations or business requirements
    • adjust and post changes to this schedule as required by changes in business or regulatory requirements
You can activate or renew your application at anytime by sending us an updated application or resume, or by applying to a new position.

We encourage online applications whenever possible as they are reviewed more frequently through our electronic database for a fit with a variety of career opportunities.
